Daylight first
A robust industrial shell reworked for contemporary use. The sawtooth roof was retained and reglazed, so the floor plate is lit almost entirely by daylight. Reglazing cost more than a new roof sheet would have, and removed nearly all of the daytime lighting load in exchange.

What was kept
- The brick shell and steel portal frames
- The sawtooth profile, reglazed to the south
- The slab, ground back rather than replaced
What was added
- A mezzanine along the western bay
- Amenities in one plumbing wall
- Insulation to the roof and western wall

The result
A working building that people enjoy walking into, with the lighting load of a much smaller one.
